Torphins skier Jan-Michael Kochalski returned home at the weekend following an injury-plagued season which has culminated in a second operation to his leg previously injured in the run up to the 2010 Olympic games in Vancouver.

Following a successful operation at Ross Hall in Glasgow, Jan was in Banchory to open the Health and Human Performance centre in Scott Skinner Square last Saturday where he has been undergoing remedial massage following his operation.

Jan said: “I am pleased to see we now have a state-of-the-art personal training and sports injury clinic in Banchory, it will certainly get my full support.”

Jan intends to spend a few weeks in Torphins recuperating before starting his summer training routine which will see him back on skis around July.
