Kerry focused on qualifying

Finzean swimmer Kerry Buchan will be aiming to qualify for a place at the London Olympics over the next week.

Kerry’s first race will be the 100m breastroke on Sunday before competing in the 200m breastroke next Wednesday.

The 24-year-old is looking forward to competing in the new London Aquatics Centre for the first time.

Kerry said: “My preparations have gone really well training has been good, and I’m really looking forward to racing now. It makes it even more exciting to be racing in the Aquatics Centre.

Kerry and her team are due to fly down to London today (Thursday) where they will be staying in apartments with a dedicated chef to make sure everything is right in preparation.

Kerry added: “This will be the biggest British Championships ever, and I am proud to be part of it. It’s going to be a tough fight to qualify but I believe I can do it!”

“I want to thank all my family and friends for their support over the years and i hope they enjoy watching the trials as much as i will enjoy taking part.
