The sun shone on the Alford KT Bike Run and with sponsorship and this year’s added Craft Marquee, the event raised over £5,000.
158 riders successfully rode either the 13-mile or 29-mile runs, first back were Archie Marshal Dawson (13 mile) and Chris Williamson (29 mile).
There were lots of family groups, with some doing their first organised bike run. Plenty was happening in the Grampian Transport Museum arena with a massage tent, BBQ, teas and cakes, face painting, tombola, charity stalls and the craft marquee.
The beneficiaries this year are Maggies (Aberdeen), Donside Defibrillator Group, Alford Curling Club and Eradicate Polio Now (Rotary Foundation).
The event was organised by Alford Rotary with support from Alford Cycle Club and community members. Thanks go to all the generous sponsors, supporters and helpers
