Baillie set to share his success story

2012 Olympics - Slalom at Lee Valley

Westhill Olympian Tim Bailie is due to tell his inspirational story at a motivational business breakfast this morning (Thursday).

Tim’s parents were both keen canoeists, competing in the slalom discipline, so it was no surprise that he followed in their footsteps.

He made his Olympic debut last summer and secured his gold medal in the two-man C2 canoe slalom with his sporting partner Etienne Stott.

Tim was recently honoured by Her Majesty The Queen with an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List, for his contribution to the success of the GB Olympic team.

SUCCESS

He will provide inspiring fare as he outlines the story of his success, including how teamwork and determination helped him achieve Olympic gold.

The Going for Gold breakfast, sponsored by BG Group, was due to take place on Thursday morning at the Hilton Treetops Hotel, Aberdeen, from 7 to 9 am.

See the events section of the Chamber’s www.agcc.co.uk website for further details and booking.

The Chamber holds around 100 events a year in Aberdeen City and Shire, providing insight, market intelligence, learning and networking opportunities to the North-east business community.

Its events programme includes around 13 Business Breakfasts a year, currently sponsored by BG Group, which attract an average of 150 delegates and feature expert speakers addressing major topics of interest for businesses.
