A group of 14 Banchory Academy pupils in S2 and S3 as well as teachers are cycling, hiking and canoeing 560km this week to fundraise for the Inspire and Friends of Anchor charities.

Their challenge starts in the Outer Hebrides at the very south of the Isle of Barra travelling all the way to the Butt of Lewis and back to Stornaway, then over to the mainland, travelling from Morvich and on through Glen Affric where they will walk and canoe.

The final stretch is from near Beauly to the finish at Tarbat Ness, past Portmahomack.

The event was organised by a team led by Colin Nicol who the pupils and staff would like to thank.
