A local all-female shooting club, which launched in Banchory last year, is on the hunt for new instructors due to popular demand.

Glad Rags & Cartridge Bags has already run two popular shoots at the Raemoir House Hotel, with both events so oversubscribed there were waiting lists on both occasions.

The club is hoping to appoint new instructors to cope with demand from Deeside ladies keen to learn the art of handling a shotgun.

Founder of Glad Rags and Director of Jomm Events, Mhairi Morriss said: “The enthusiasm for shooting among the Aberdeenshire ladies has been phenomenal. As soon as the first event happened, attendees were booking places at the next one. We are now at the stage where we need to establish a larger pool of instructors. It’s as rewarding for the teachers and it is for the Glad Raggers - the atmosphere at the shoots has been just great.”
