THE lycra-clad superstars of wrestling return to Banchory this Saturday for a smashing night of entertainment.

North-east promotion WrestleZone are back with a spectacular family-friendly bill of action with some of the top grapplers in Scotland engaging in body-slamming fun at the Town Hall from 7pm.

For the fifth year running, the Aberdeen-based group will bring the smackdown for all Banchory’s wrestling fans, with one man in particular looking to continue on a high.

The gigantic Crusher Craib recently won the Undisputed Championship in front of 500 fans and will make his first title defence this weekend.

The 6ft 4inch grappler will square off with Balmedie’s Chris Archer determined to hold onto the championship belt and begin his title reign in dominant fashion.

The 25-year-old Aberdeen bruiser added: “I am back as the man to beat in WrestleZone and I am out to prove to everyone that I am the dominant force.’’

Crusher’s title defence headlines a night of action which will also feature local names like Scotty Swift, Zach Dynamite and the Thunder Buddies.

WrestleZone host Martyn Clunes expects a great night of action.

Doors open at 7pm with the first bell at 7.30pm.

Admission is pay-at-the-door only, priced £12 for adults and £8 for under 14s.
