Deeside RFC 1ST XV started off in great form fronting up in attack and closing down in defence.
But Kinloss soon seemed to settle in and the visitors were able to cross over the whitewash through a lacklustre Deeside defensive line.
Deeside rallied back but poor communication let them down and they were soon trailing by two tries.
The first half continued in this way with Kinloss taking every inch they could from which they were efficient at creating yards of territory.
At times, Deeside seem to give the opposition too much respect and looked as if they lacked some confidence.
Kinloss were a well drilled side but the Deeside team were able to give them a run for their money and certain aspects and some of the Deeside game showed throughout the game. Lineouts were good and attacking runs were a feature and the home team was effective in the scrums.
But Deeside has suffered from a lack of numbers at training and this showed with the gaps in their armour which a team like Kinloss was able to exploit all day long.
Deeside did however make some inroads and at times seem to be getting back in the game but again, small mistakes were punished severely by an efficient Kinloss.
One loss out of five played so far is not the end of the world but it should be the wake-up call the team needs to get back on track if Deeside is to stamp their mark on this league.
Next up for Deeside is Aberdeenshire 3rd XV, away, this Saturday.
Kick off is 3pm.
