New management at Aboyne Golf Club

The new golf season sees a number of changes to the management team at Aboyne Golf Club.

Having successfully guided the Club through its recent AGM, President Graeme Stephen stands down withScott Mackie taking over.

Scott paid tribute “Graeme has done a great job guiding the Club through somechallenging times in the past few years and we are now in good shape to take the Club forward thanks to Graeme’s stewardship”.

In further changes, Dan Broadhead takes on the Club Captaincy from Justin Grant who moves up to Vice President. Dan said “I am thoroughly looking forward to the season ahead, and Vice President Justin Grant has big boots to fill, having racked up two consecutive Deeside League wins for Aboyne during his tenure as Captain.”

The ladies section too sees Sandra Findlay assume Club Captaincy from Maureen Wilson.

Sandra says “It is an honour to be Ladies Captain of a great Club that Aboyne is with its history and community spirit.”

Further appointments following the AGM see Carmeen Eakin and Janice Innes join the Council and NigelBradburn take up the newly created role of Marketing Convenor working closely with Managing Secretary Allan Taylor.

Ian Anderson retains his role as Finance Convenor and Dave Forsyth continues as Men’s Seniors Captain.

The Club has also recruited another highly experienced groundkeeper with Euan Ferries moving from Ireland to join the staff.
