Eleven-year-old Penny Winton from Blairs, South Deeside, is definitely a golden girl and that’s official!
Penny took part in the Scottish Disability Swimming Championships in Grangemouth on November 6, representing Grampian along with two boys also representing the region.
She was awarded a silver in the 50m Class3 back stroke event and not content with one medal went on to win two golds in 50m freestyle class1 and 50m breast class 4 respectively.
Penny’s mum Lynn couldn’t be prouder.
She said: “Penny became ill three years ago with Transverse myelitis, so it was a huge achievement to do so well last week!”
