A team from Maryculter-based firm, Oteac, is to take on a gruelling 100km cycle to help raise money for charity.

The group of four employees will take part in the King of the Mountains Sportive in May, raising funds for Make-A-Wish UK, which grants wishes to children and young people with life-threatening conditions.

The challenge is one of the toughest events of its kind in the UK, taking in some of the highest Cairngorm passes. The team will ascend more than 5000ft over the Gairnshiel Pass, taking in Alford, Kildrummy, Strathdon, Ballater and Tarland.
