A club spokesperson said: ‘‘Craig Fyfe, who is the current Scottish trampoline champion at NDP 7 and Scottish men’s overall champion at DMT, and British Champion at NDP 8 on DMT, had been nominated for Sports personality of the year 2014. This was not just for his outstanding sporting achievements but also for the commitment shown to Banchory Trampoline and DMT club over the years and recognising his coaching within the club also.

‘‘We are delighted to report that Craig won this category.

‘‘Aberdeenshire sports council hosted an excellent evening of good food and entertainment and one of the highlights of the evening was the attendance of Olympic gold medallist for Boxing, Dick McTaggart who answered questions from the audience with great wit.
