Robbie Simpson last month competed in the gruelling 24 mile, 3 peaks mountain running race in Horton–in-Ribblesdale, Yorkshire.

At the age of 19 he was the youngest in a field of more than 700 runners. Finishing in 2hrs 56m won him an amazing second place and selection for the Scottish team in the World Long Distance Mountain Running Championships in June in Slovenia.

Robbie has recently been supported by the Banchory Ternan Rotary Club whose generosity will assist with the expenses of training kit and travelling to Slovenia.
