Snow on the ground didn’t deter the tenant farmers, current and retired employees, beaters and other friends from enjoying the annual Finzean Farmers’ Shoot.

Everyone started the day with bacon butties and hot cups of tea as this year’s shoot was on January 30, coinciding with National Breakfast Week. Weather conditions were difficult at times but the bag was good and they finished off the day by devouring a large pot of homemade soup and freshly baked break, courtesy of the farm shop kitchen staff.

Kate and CAtriona Farquharson, owners of the Finzean Estate Farm Shop and Tearoom, said: “This is always such a fun day and the estate’s way of thanking everyone for all their hard work throughout the shooting season.”

This traditional end of season event has taken place for the past 50 years.
