Pupils from Crombie and Westhill Primary Schools took up the Aberdeenshire Active Schools challenge to try the Olympic sport of Judo.

Over the course of 10 sessions from September to December they learned new skills at Westhill Judo Club and were recently rewarded with the presentation of new belt grades.

Two of the coaches at the club will be volunteering at the Olympic games in London this summer.

The club runs on Monday evenings in Westhill Academy and currently has spaces for those aged 10 years and over.
