Bronze artists from all over the UK and Europe came together last weekend to open a major summer show at the Milton Art Gallery.

“Experience Bronze” opened with a viewing on Friday, June 6, with 30 bronze artists exhibiting pieces.

The exhibition, which celebrates the enduring appeal for bronze as a sculptural medium, showcases 80 pieces of work of varying scale and subject matter. It’s complimented by an annotated photographic display about the process of hot metal casting.

Jane Smith, assistant manager at Milton Art Gallery, said: “We wanted to curate a show that highlighted the variety and versatility of scale, form and finish possible with bronze. The response has been fantastic with people travelling from all over Scotland to see the exhibition.”

The exhibition is open to the public until July 27, Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sundays 11am to 5pm.
