A showcase of new paintings by a North-east artist is now open at Milton Art Gallery, bringing a hint of Harris to Deeside.
The paintings were created by artist Kanita Sim while she was recovering from major surgery.
After suffering a serious case of artist’s block Kanita was invited to stay at a cottage on the Isle of Harris.
She said: “My visit to Harris was a turning point and I knew then that I would be able to paint again.
‘‘Harris will always have a special meaning for me, and I feel I owe it a great debt.”
‘Homage to Harris’ will be on display at Milton Art Gallery until October 5.
