Visit Royal Deeside are hosting a second Food and Fiddle Fortnight (F&FF) this year, slightly earlier than last year, from October 3-19.

Deeside has a rich variety of musical talent, from fiddles to flutes to pipe bands and choirs.

There is still space on the programme for a ceilidh or two, concerts of any size and more impromptu sessions than you can shake a drumstick at!

Jan Latham of F&FF said: “We are also very spoiled for cafes, restaurants and hotels, as well as fabulous local food producers – so any ideas for making the most of the season and promoting your establishment or business would be very welcome.

“We are very excited with the plans and possibilities, even at this early stage we are looking forward to Sunday lunches with Fiddlers’ Boards at Buchanans, a daily showcase of local producers in Strachans of Aboyne and several local themed markets.”

Woodend Barn, The Deeside Inn and a few local castles are already lining up to participate in this programme of events but F&FF organisers are looking for more local firms to get on board. Get involved by contacting info@visitroyaldeeside.com.
