Two Deeside entrepreneurs are prepping the kegs ready to pull the pints for Banchory’s first Beer Festival, which will take place next month.
The two young minds behind the event, which happens on August 9-10, are Mungo Finlayson (24) and Guy Finlayson (22).
Together, the pair founded MFGF Events Limited and the company’s first event is the beer festival.
A special limited edition festival beer, which will only be available at the Banchory event, has been brewed for the occasion.
The pair visited Lothian last week, where the special beer was brewed in conjunction with Alechemy Brewing in Livingston.
The festival will take place on the Deeside Rugby Club pitches near Tesco, Banchory, and hopes to attract a good crowd for its inaugural event.
Speaking about why he decided to try hosting a beer festival, Mungo Finlayson said: “A passion for good beer, food and live music.
‘‘No one else does what we are offering in the Deeside area.”
The festival will feature over 30 different beers, ciders and unique gins.
There will also be a hog roast and barbecue on offer, and guests will also enjoy live music from LOKI, Dylan Fowlie, Keiran Adams, Sam Geddes and more.
Entry costs £10, which includes two tokens for use on drinks.
A competition is currently running on the festival’s Facebook page to win free entry for two people.
