Aberdeen International Youth Festival (AIYF) is looking for young chamber groups to enter this year’s Norman Cooper Chamber Music Competition.
Cash prizes will be up for grabs for the group who wins this prestigious award.
Groups from across Deeside and Donside are being encouraged to apply for the competition, which is taking place as part of the AIYF across Aberdeen city and shire.
Groups must be made up of a minimum of two and a maximum of thirteen musicians who are under the age of 26.
The competition is open to any chamber ensemble taking part in AIYF 2014, as well as local young musicians who live or study in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire or Moray. Finalists will perform at Queen’s Cross Church Sanctuary on Thursday, July 31 at 4pm.
Each year’s musicians showcase the highest level of talent and become the next generation of Scotland’s top-level classical musicians.
