Plans for the Summer Marquee Ball, which is to be held on June 27 at Banchory’s Raemoir House Hotel, are well underway.

The ball, which is already sold out, has been hailed as one of Deeside’s top social events and will be attended by over 350 guests.

This years beneficiaries are to be Riding for the Disabled (Deedise Branch) and Friends of the Bellfield Care Home.

The RDA has been operating in Deeside for over 30 years and allows disabled people in the area to ride horses in order to improve their health and wellbeing.

The Friends of Bellfield are a group of local people who offer support to the residents and staff of Banchory’s Bellfield Care Home.

The Ball, now in its 18th year, has raised over £330K for local charities since it was created by Logan Sangster and Dawn Law, back in 1998.

The event’s main sponsors are Raemoir House Hotel, Deeside Photographics, Riah Hair and Beauty and Hays Flowers of Torphins.

The organisers are always looking for new items to showcase in the Ball’s Fine Auction and Grand Raffle. Anyone who would like to offer a prize should contact Logan on 01330 824015.
