In true pantomime style, Ben Johnson waltzed on as the ‘Dame’ to begin a hilarious programme of short panto scenes including all the usual ‘puns’, slap stick and custard pies!

The cast had perfected the routines over five weeks and both cast and audience thoroughly enjoyed the highly tuned drama that Joyce and Edna had developed over the rehearsal period.

Outstanding on the night was Emma Sibson whose perfect comedy timing had the audience all in fits of laughter when she accompanied Olivia Wilson in the ‘Bandana’ sketch.

The show highlighted how much the young cast (aged between nine and twelve years) had progressed in their drama skills and the fun they had in doing it.

The Banchory group has been established for over a year and is held weekly at the Guide Hut 4.30pm – 7pm each Friday.

Comedy, improvisation, film and editing skills are on offer to any enthusiastic youngsters who wish to come along and take part.
