No panto for Banchory Drama Club

Banchory Drama Club has announced that it will not be putting on the much loved Christmas panto this year.

Banchory Drama Club has been part of the local community for more than 20 years.

Organisers say inability to rehearse and uncertainty regarding audience social distancing due to COVID 19 has forced the decision.

Banchory Drama Club has been part of the local community for more than 20 years.

Its annual Christmas pantomime in the local town hall is always eagerly anticipated.

The club also participates in the annual Scottish Community Drama Association (SCDA) Festival which takes place in the Spring of each year.

The club encourages and develops talent in all areas of community drama, including writing, costume and set design and technical support, as well as acting, singing and dancing.

The club welcomes new members from age 12 to adult.
