Owners invest in the future of Royal Deeside Hotel

The Directors of Banchory Lodge, situated on Royal Deeside have invested heavily in the hotel during lockdown to ensure they are ready to wow customers when they can welcome them back.

The hospitality industry has been hit hard during this pandemic but when it reopens the Lodge will have some amazing new spaces for guests and customers to relax and enjoy.

A stunning new outdoor patio area is being created with an oversized pergola and funky sheds for dining. At the heart of the space will be an outdoor kitchen with energy saving equipment, which is kinder to the environment.

The new outdoor menu will also be supporting local food producers by featuring some of the best of local produce.

The boutique hotel is in the heart of Royal Deeside.

With outdoor dining set to trend for some time, and customers looking for spaces they feel safe, the new outdoor space at the Lodge will offer something unique on Royal Deeside.

Work has already started, and it is hoped is due to be completed by the March 28.

As well as creating the new outdoor area, work has been going on elsewhere at the hotel. The outside has been painted, public areas refreshed, and spring flowers are being planted to create a great impression to welcome customers back.

Carol Fowler, Director said: “We are committed, to continue to invest in the Lodge. It's important that we keep developing fresh and innovative ideas that we know our customers will love. Our new Sitooterie will offer customers a new covered seating area and 4 dining Sheds for private bookings. The Sheds will seat up to six guests and will be available for booking for different sittings throughout the day. And with our new outdoor kitchen we will launch our new Sitooterie menu. Bookings will open for the new facility when we have a firm re-opening date for the hotel.”

She continued: "None of this would have been possible without the support of the Scottish Government’s Hotel Support Scheme, which has been administered very professionally by Scottish Enterprise (SE). We would like to thank SE for not only the financial support but also for looking at other areas of support, like energy saving surveys which will support us on a longer basis.”
