Friday morning was a perfect day for walking – not too warm or cold – and pupils were transported up to Burn o’ Vat bright and early. The route took them along part of the Deeside Way before ending back at the school. Pupils were footsore and tired at the end but felt very accomplished. S6 pupils helped out by manning checkpoints and capturing pictures of the day. A smaller group of pupils and staff ran a 10k route in the middle of the run. The fastest pupil was Frankie McMahon in S3 who did the 10k in an incredible 44 minutes.

Health Week itself was a series of events promoting a healthy lifestyle. There was staff versus pupil sporting competitions including netball, football and volleyball. The Home Economics department ran a tasting challenge to promoted nutritious food and money was taken off fruit in the canteen to encourage people to eat more healthily.
