The girls of the 1st Banchory Brownies have raised an impressive £185 for an African healthcare charity by tackling local Scolty Hill. Together with 12 adult supporters and 5 dogs, they climbed up the hill on June 11 to complete a sponsored walk. All 24 Brownies made it to the top of Scolty, from where they could look out across Deeside.
Brown Owl Sally Seymour said: “I was delighted the girls all achieved their aim of reaching the top. The walk contributed towards a challenge badge and raised an amazing £185 for Aba, a charity providing health care in Nigeria.”
Aba is a charity clinic, which provides primary health care for a large urban slum community in South East Nigeria.
