Braemar SWRI enjoyed a Scottish Night at their January meeting, which coincided with the club’s 90th birthday.
The celebrations started with a set of musical numbers played by local music group The Blaeberries. The choir then sang some Scottish tunes followed by Douglas Anderson on his mouth organ. Marilyn Baker and Pat Thomson entertained all with a very funny sketch.The oldest member Betty Robertson cut the birthday cake and everyone tucked into stovies made by Aileen Lawrence of Glenshee Ltd. The ukulele band played happy birthday and Auld Lang Syne. Competitions: Homemade Shortbread - 1 Dorothy Ramsay, 2 Susie Farquharson, joint 3 Aileen Lawrence and Margaret Garden.
