Fall in house prices in Aberdeenshire
House prices dropped by 1.7 per cent in Aberdeenshire in the first month of 2021.
But the drop does not reverse the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area achieve 1.8 per cent annual growth.
The average Aberdeenshire house price in January was £180,413, according to Registers of Scotland figures – a 1.7 per cent decrease on December.
Over the month, the picture was worse than that across Scotland, where prices rose by one per cent, and Aberdeenshire underperformed compared to the 0.5 per cent drop for the UK as a whole.
Over the last 12 months, the average sale price of property in Aberdeenshire has increased by £3,100.
