Youngsters from Deeside and beyond will have the chance to jump, climb and slide at a new playground opened at Milton of Crathes.
In another addition to Milton of Crathes over the past few years, the “Horn of Leys” play area has seen an investment of over £20,000 by the Leys Estate in the new play facility.
The adventure trail, constructed by Playdale, is made up of various obstacles including the Giggleswick, Cradle Swing, Clatter Bridge, Log Walk, Seafell Pike, Wobble Board, Striding Stilts, Swinging Steps, Roll ‘n’ Rope and Mini Web.
It has been especially designed as a safe environment for younger children to play in, situated in a beautiful woodland setting beside the River Dee. It sits alongside the wee Boorachie, containing a working water wheel.
Alexander Burnett of the estate said: “This is a welcome addition for families to what is already on offer at the Milton. We hope is it will appeal to children of all ages for many years to come.”
The Milton of Crathes is situated on the Deeside Way and is home to the Milton Art Gallery, various arts, crafts, furniture and clothing
outlets, a restaurant brasserie and the Milton of Crathes Railway Station.
