Former Mearns Academy pupil Aisha Kasim became the second boardroom casualty of this series of The Apprentice last Thursday.
The 30-year old, who took charge of the girls team in a marketing challenge for Cactus infused shampoo was described as “The project leader of a disaster” by the shows straight talking boss Alan Sugar.
The Amstrad founder said: “Aisha came across to me a someone who doesn’t take prisoners, she seemed a very strong leader, which might have been her downfall because you also have to listen to what your team says from time to time.”
Aisha was criticised for many of her decisions during the challenge of which the main one was not including an image of a cactus anywhere in her advertising campaign.
“I needed the cactus plant on the bottle and she just didn’t get that.
“Advertising is very important for any business and of course it is very expensive so you can hardly afford to be subtle, you really need to spell out very, very clearly what your product or service is about and I think in the case of Aisha she needs to sign on to that in the future.”
