The Banchory and District round Table’s annual bonfire spectacular will take place on Saturday, November 7 at King George V Park, 6:30pm.
A spokesman for the Round Table said: “Months of planning have gone into this event and it promises to live up to what we have come to expect from this popular fixture in the Banchory social calendar. This is the biggest event and underlines the ethos of the community service here in Deeside that this group is founded on.”
The event remains free to enter, but round Table members will be collecting donations on the night. The money collected is a vital part of the fundraising that allows Banchory Round Table to support good causes in the local area.
Of note this year, the team of young guys, comprising of 18 members, made a £10,000 donation towards the Banchory Sports Village, and managed to support a local family to take part in the Children’s Wish 25 year anniversary celebration.
The Round Table will be collecting firewood for the bonfire during the day on Saturday, and if people are interested in learning more about the Round Table, and are aged between 18 and 45, they are invited to lend a hand. Wood collection and interest can be registered at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
