Bellfield put down roots with help from their friends

An appeal for plants for the new gardens of the Bellfield Care Home has been a blooming success thanks to a lot of help from its ‘Friends.’

Staff member Moira Morrison, helped by the ‘ Friends of Bellfield, held an afternoon tea and invited guests to donate a plant for the newly-formed gardens.

More than 100 plants were brought along to the home last Sunday, where a host of visitors enjoyed some delicious home baking with tea or coffee, served by the staff.

Some of the Friends brought along more and they mucked in with clearing new areas for planting and getting the new plants into place.

Owner of the neighbouring Derbar Tandoori, Muhamed ,even came along with some fabulous plants as a gift for the appeal.

Raemoir Garden Centre, Banchory Lodge Hotel, Raemoir House Hotel, Brian Smith Funeral Directors, Scot Gold, McIntosh & Steven,Love Laura Lane, Roy Cowie Landbase Services, Riah Hair & Beauty and Deeside Photographics were all on hand.

A spokeperson for Bellfield said: “We would also like to thank everyone who has dropped off plants throughout the week, the bakers for providing such beautiful cakes and biscuits, and the staff of the Bellfield, and Friends of the Bellfield, who have all rallied round to help.”
