Residents, family, friends and staff at Bellfield Care Home, Banchory, celebrated the refurbishment in style last week with a special dedication service on September 30.
Thanks to a generous legacy left by Alan and Gertrude Smith, Bellfield undwent a full 21st century refurbishment, whilst retaining as many original features as possible, earlier this year.
To celebrate the upgrade The Pipes and Drums of Ballater and District Pipe Band assembled in the Garden of the care home to entertain residents before guests arrived. Provost of Aberdeenshire - Jill Webster, representatives from the Friends Group, relatives and staff assembled to enjoy the service. The catering team at Bellfield laid on a spectacularly enjoyable ‘high tea’ and service manager Janis Grubb noted “...all the staff were superb and made it a joyous day for everyone.” (Photo: Deeside Photographics)
