Staff at the Boat Inn, Aboyne, will run the Banchory Beast this weekend to raise money for Braemar Mountain Rescue.
The fundraising effort will mark the charity’s 50th anniversary serving the local community.
Boat Inn employee Nathan Gunn said: “We can’t wait to face the Beast, we are all feeling both excited and fearful of the challenges ahead.
“In the end though, I’m confident - as we do at the Boat, we will work as a team and reach the finishing line together.”
Raising funds for the rescue team holds special meaning for one member of the team, as they helped a relative of employee Gemma, who sadly lost his life during an expedition in the past.
The team would welcome the support of all their regular customers and the community on the day itself, and to join in their celebrations at the Boat Inn for what promises to be a well-deserved beverage.
