An Aboyne-based company has received a major business boost from Theo Paphitis.
The former Dragons’ Den star has officially endorsed Tillycroy Support Services by raising its profile to his Twitter followers.
It came about after owner Alister Clark tweeted the retail entreprenenur about the business during Small Business Sunday last November in which Tillycroy was named as a winner.
Theo re-tweeted the win to his 500,000 Twitter followers and Alister admitted it was a complete shock when he saw the businessman’s re-tweets.
The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 2000 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.
Since then more than 329,000 businesses have entered #SBS with only 2000 winners.
Tillycroy Services is among the elite 0.68% to be chosen.
As a result of the win @tillycroy has gained more followers and extra inquiries for their accredited training courses from throughout the UK.
The firm is also profiled on the #SBS website (www.theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.
Mr Clark said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be winners of Theo’s Small Business initiative and to gain his support.
“It is always a challenge to raise our profile and Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following.”
