Small business leaders are calling on people in Deeside to support local firms on the busiest shopping weekend of the year.
FSB (the Federation of Small Businesses) is asking everyone to back Small Business Saturday tomorrow.
More than £620 million was spent in UK small enterprises on the same day last year, according to the organisers and this year the FSB wants to do even better.
Aberdeenshire West and Kincardine MP Stuart Donaldson will be visiting businesses in Tarland and Lumphanan on the day.
Catherine Ward, development manager for FSB in the North-east, said: “We’re urging everyone to get behind Small Business Saturday by using local businesses this weekend.
“It doesn’t matter if it is the Christmas turkey, socks for the stocking or an afternoon libation, the important thing is to get out and sample the brilliant goods and services that our local businesses produce.
“The FSB backs small firms and high streets all year long but we’re asking for a very special push on this Small Business Saturday.”
