Deeside businesses are being offered the chance to start the New Year with a bang – thanks to the launch of a new networking group.

BNI North of Scotland is to open a Deeside chapter in January, adding to existing business development groups in Aberdeen and Westhill.

The group is keen to welcome companies from across Deeside, including Banchory, Aboyne and Ballater, as well as the Mearns area.

The Deeside chapter will meet at the Tor-Na-Coille Hotel, Inchmarlo Road in Banchory every Tuesday. The first meeting will be held between 6.45 and 9.15am on January 13, 2015.

Trevor Mutch, owner and managing director of Banchory-based R Davidson (Ltd), acquired the BNI North of Scotland franchise with business partner Rob Hamilton, chief executive of Aberdeen-based technology provider Dynamic Edge in October.

Trevor, executive director BNI Scotland North, said: “The launch of the Deeside chapter is a key part of our broader goal of bringing the networking organisation – and the many benefits it can bring - to a much wider audience of business people.

“We expect to attract a great deal of interest from business people living and working in Deeside and further afield. Through working together with other members we are confident that we can further enhance commerce in the Deeside area.”

Rob Hamilton, executive director BNI Scotland North, said: “We’re excited about the opportunities for greater collaboration between businesses that the launch of the new chapter brings.

“We are currently welcoming applications from business people interested in joining the Deeside group. Both Trevor and I are looking forward to meeting and building relationships with members of the community to drive growth and help local businesses achieve their goals.”
