Woodend Music Society begins a new season of chamber music concerts at Woodend Barn with a performance from a talented young violin and piano duo. Kirsty Lovie and Sachika Taniyama are students at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London and will perform a varied programme including pieces by Beethoven, Brahms and Ravel.
Violinist Kirsty Lovie is originally from Huntly and has already made her mark on Aberdeenshire audiences, having won Aberdeen Young Musician 2008 and the KDAF Fiddle Competition 2011.
She will be accompanied by fellow student, pianist Sachika Taniyama.
