A former Aberdeen bouncer accused of killing a Donside dad has been found not guilty of murder.
Jonas Marcius, 23, was on trial at the High Court in Aberdeen charged with murdering Craig Grant outside Tonik bar on August 8 or 9 2013.
Marcius, a door steward, was alleged to have seized Mr Grant, 26, of Monymusk, and forced him to the ground. He is alleged to have struck Mr Grant on the head and body and placed him in a choke hold, which compressed his neck.
Today, Wednesday December 17, a jury found Marcius not guilty of murder, instead finding him guilty of assault.
Lady Wolffe deferred sentencing until January next year while a criminal justice social work report is prepared.
