Phase NRG apprentice plumber Callum Ferguson excelled at the recent Tullos Training Awards held at the Thistle Altens Hotel in Aberdeen.
The event was attended by leading industry representatives and employers as well as the award winners and their parents.
George Yule, president of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce and the new executive vice chairman of Aberdeen Football Club addressed the audience and presented the awards with Callum receiving 5 of them.
Callum was judged to be: Most improved SNIPEF Apprentice; Best Lead work Apprentice; Best 1st Year Plumbing Apprentice and he was runner up in the Apprentice Of The Year category.
In addition Callum was presented with the Divex Innovation Award.
Commenting on the Awards, Bill Beattie, Phase NRG said: “I’m truly delighted for Callum. He is a real credit to Phase NRG, to his trade, and to the Tullos Training Centre.
“His achievements are particularly impressive when you consider he is still in his first year of training.
“I am confident his future career in plumbing will go from strength to strength.”
Phase NRG Operations Manager, Ray Turner added: “Callum’s skills are exceptional for someone at his stage of apprenticeship.
“This is borne out by the fact he recently represented Tullos Training at the prestigious annual Scottish Regional SkillPlumb Competition, held in Glasgow where he came a respectable fourth out of 15 competitors who were mostly in the second and third year of their training.”
