A Deeside care home is in Scotland’s top 20 of most recommended facilities.
Pitmurchie in Torphins received the accolade in the carehome.co.uk Care Home Awards 2016.

The home received the award on the rating of residents, friends and relatives.

Pitmurchie Care Home manager John Murdoch said: “At Pitmurchie, we have been working hard over the past year and a half to improve the quality of life we provide for our residents.
“We are in the process of developing our dementia garden to allow our residents to walk outside in a secure garden area.
“We are delighted to be awarded this award and this has inspired us to continue to work hard to provide the best care home we can.”
The ratings covered the period from February 15 last year until February 15 this year.
