A charity auction of the Aberdeen Wild Dolphins saw Deeside artists’ unique creations sell for thousands last week.

Aberdeen Music Hall was awash with bidders on Wednesday, September 10, as the sculptures - which became a feature of the city over the summer months - went up for sale.

Deeside Dolphin Adeona sold for an impressive £9000, while Mary Louise Butterworth’s Seadog raked in £8500 for charity. Poppy picked up a winning bid of £14,000, Bird Ballet sold for £3000, and Helen Jackson’s Creels Crans and Currachs went for £3000 at auction.

All proceeds were split between The ARCHIE Foundation, the official charity of the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, and Whale and Dolphin Conservation.
