Pupils and staff are set to benefit from a brand new library, which was opened at Monymusk School on September 4.

Local author and parent Matt Lewis did the honours at the event, cutting the ribbon to mark the opening in front of pupils, parents and staff.

The new library at Monymusk will offer new facilities including an online service, which will enable pupils to search for their chosen authors or subjects.

It will also allow pupils to publish reviews of the books they have borrowed and to read the opinions of others.

Pupils and parents will be able to access the database from home.

AuthorMatt Lewis released his first book this summer, entitled ‘Last Man Off: A True Story of Disaster and Survival on the Antarctic Seas’.
