At the recent meeting of Midmar Primary School’s Rotakids, chairman Callum Stewart welcomed 12 new Rotakids from
primaries 3 and 4 into the group.
They recited the Rotakids Pledge in which they were all word perfect.
Callum explained to the visiting Rotarian from the sponsoring club, Alford and District, that during the past year and with the help of funds carried over from the previous session, their group had sent £150 to Smiletrain, a charity who, at that cost, can repair a child’s cleft pallet.
They had donated £400 to Charlie House, a local charity, supporting children with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions.
The Rotakids have also run a community cafe which has been gathering funds for much-needed school playground equipment.
