Dunecht School has received a positive report after an HMIe inspection towards the end of last year.
The Donside school was awarded ‘very good’ quality marks for: Learners’ experiences, Improvements in performance, Meeting learning needs, The curriculum and Improvement through self-evaluation.
HM Inspectors examined pupils work, observed learning and teaching and
interviewed groups of pupils, including the pupil council and members of staff.
The report also highlighted a number of key strengths of the school, including that children were confident and happy with a strong say in decision making, and that staff worked well as a team.
The findings of the report were discussed by councillors at the Garioch area meeting at Inverurie on Tuesday.
