An embankment slippage has forced the closure of a road in Peterculter.
Kennerty Road has been shut from the junction of Millside Street to the junction of Kennerty Mills Road due to further slippage of the embankment to the south west of Kennerty Bridge.
Alternative access can be made from Station Road East.
Aberdeen City Council is in the process of appointing a contractor to carry out the repairs and it is expected that on-site work will begin in mid-July.
However, the road will have to remain closed until the repairs have been completed which could take up to eight weeks.
