David MacDonald, a Banchory-based independent financial adviser is running a series of free seminars on Tuesday, November 27,at the Raemoir House Hotel.
The seminars will concentrate on the protection of personal assets, which can be threatened by inheritance tax, executry costs, long term care costs and the importance of having an up to date will and power of attorney.
Speaking at the seminars are Justin Urquhart Stewart, a well-known speaker on financial matters who features regularly on TV and radio programmes; and Shirley Houlihan, a senior partner at McClure Solicitors, a UK-wide firm of specialist solicitors with particular experience in Personal Asset Management.
Both speakers are adept at speaking plainly whilst dealing with sometimes complicated issues in a relevant and approachable manner.
Justin will be speaking at the two daytime sessions and Shirley will be speaking at all three.
The seminars, starting at 10am, 2pm and 6pm are free and include light refreshments. Because the event is free, donations will be taken for local charity Forget Me Not Club on the day. Forget Me Not does valuable work supporting those with dementia and their carers, and resonates with the subject matter of the event.
