A feathered friend flew in to join pupils at Cluny School’s end-of-year service and presentation at Cluny Parish Church on Friday.
According to church organist Sandy Argo, during the service and presentation, led by headteacher Ken Girdwood, a swallow entered the church, flying from one end to the other, swooping low above the cheering children and their parents before climbing back up to the ceiling to the great excitement of pupils.
It eventually found a resting place on top of an organ pipe before embarking on another display of air dynamics.
The children quickly got used to its uninvited presence and spectacular flight of fancy before settling down to enjoy the rest of the presentation.
Once the church was vacated, the bird left as it had entered - via an open side door.
