The DAWGS rehoming charity has been boosted by more than £2000 from a fundraising day at Crathes Castle.
FRED (Fundraising events delivered) recently organised a group walk and canine activities.
Organisers were delighted so much was raised to help the Aberdeen-based charity that finds new homes for dogs whose owners, perhaps due to illness, frailty or a change in family circumstances, can no longer take care of them. The pets are re-homed throughout the North-east area and further afield.
Mickey Ramsey, one of the organisers, said: “The weather was kind to us and it was great to see so many dog lovers coming along to participate and help dogs in less fortunate situations.”
