Grappelli and Vivaldi at Aboyne’s Victory Hall

Strathdee Music are hosting a concert by Tim Kliphuis, the well known jazz violinist, along with Nigel Clark, guitarist and Roy Percy on bass.

This trio recently wowed 10,000 listeners at the Amsterdam Canal Concert and Tim Kliphuis has been called ‘the legitimate heir to Grappelli’s crown’.

Winningly playful but technically brilliant,they bring any venue to life with their high-energy brand of gypsy swing and jazzed up classical tunes.

This concert is part of the Sound Festival, and Tim will be playing two of his own compositions, ‘Samba for Paula’ and ‘Lucy’s Waltz’.

The concert is on Saturday, November 3 at 7.30pm in the Victory Hall Aboyne.

Tickets £12 (members £10) under 18s free. available via Sound Festival, Deeside Community Centre or at the door on the night. Refreshments included.
